SBOL at IWBDA 2016

Jake Beal provides a concise recap of the SBOL workshop hosted at this year’s IWBDA (International Workshop on Bio-Design Automation). Researchers and developers from various parts of the world joined together in the UK to take a hands-on look at the benefits SBOL offers.

In his account, Beal expands on the growing popularity of SBOL and what its future might hold. He is confident that SBOL will soon become a standard schematic for describing biological designs, noting, “… I was very pleased to see it mentioned in a large number of the other talks from the whole community, either as something they’d already taken advantage of in their work, or else something they were aiming to integrate with in the near future.”
